The Nintendo Switch is an awesome console, but sometimes you can encounter issues with it. Particularly, the Nintendo Switch not charging. Even though the software may be complex, the good news is that it’s an easy fix. If your nintendo switch is not charging, start with doing a hard reset on your switch. Keep in mind that a hard reset will get rid of your data and progress from your games.

Moreover, you might not want to delete hours of playing time, so let me give you a much easier option that will help you with this charging issue. I will lay out the steps below:

1. First, unplug your Nintendo Switch and it shouldn’t be charging or else this won’t work.
   
   
   
   
2. After unplugging your Nintendo switch from the dock, hold the power button for about 10 seconds or until it fully turns off. Just make sure that the device is fully shut off.
   
   
3. Then hold the volume up and down buttons, along with the power button. All three buttons have to be pressed at the same time. Hold them down until you see the Nintendo logo on the screen. 
   
   
   
   
4. Once done, you will enter the nintendo switch recovery menu. Don’t do anything on this menu, just exit and then plug the switch back to your dock.
